Impressive numbers from a 35 year old Honda. Your running low 12's now, but what do you hope to actually run once you get the jetting and tuning dialed in?
Hi ekim, the tuning and jetting seem fine now, it's more a case of getting Chris dialed in
Chris weighed in at 285lbs when we first put the new motor in. Since then he has lost about 35lbs and we have the motor more or less spot on.
We will have to wait till a meeting comes up where we know the surface and see how he deals with it.
The last three meetings we have done have been at tracks that Chris has never ridden on and all the surfaces have been different.
He is going to have to learn how best to deal with the new found abundance of power and differing track surfaces.
I'm sure there is an 11 in there somewhere

It's been a while since I posted in this thread. I was looking for some info that I knew was in this thread and got to this post that was a reply to ekim.
My last words were, I'm sure there is an 11 in there somewhere.
Last year, the bike ran its best time of 12.17 on the open 4 into 4 exhaust system.
At the later meets, the bike was put onto a 4 into 1 system due to noise restrictions and the times dropped a little.
We then took it to the dyno on this pipe and had the carburation set up. The bike suddenly started smoking the back tyre, which lost time.
This weekend we replaced the open pipes and took it to Santa Pod, the UKs premier drag strip with it's super sticky surface.
The bike recorded its fastest time ever with a 12.03 at 112 mph, all this into a stiff headwind, I'm sure there is an 11 in this bike.
