I mentioned this on another thread, but no reply.
I was toying with the idea of mounting a later generation Honda alternator on a CB750. It is off a Nighthawk and look like a CBX as well .. mounted up and behind.
What I need to know is it overdriven?? It could be belt driven or gear driven. Belt with idler, would give the option of quick disconect for racing ..it is half the weightof the stock lightened up system anyway so it should rev a lot quicker.
