need help - carb part id
« on: April 04, 2007, 09:19:10 AM »
Hi gang -

Can someone tell me what a part on my 76 cb750 K6 is.  It's from the carbs.  My wife left with the camera so, I can post a pic right now.  But I'll describe it for you.

There are four of these....they are little plastic filter cups...they are about 5/16 (6mm) tall and about 3/16 (3mm) diameter.  The top of the "cups" are shaved on two sides to make the shape a bit more oval than round.

They look like the fit into some sort of recess in the carb bodys or something, because the tops of the cups (with the odd shapes) are flanged.

Can someone tell me where they go?

Thanks -

but I've looked in every diagram I have, but it doesn't show them.  They did, however, come out of  1976 cb750 k6  carbs.

I own this particular year, so I accept the red headedness, left handed, step child status of this bike and eagerly await anyone else that can id the parts.

(and I will post a "whats different about the '76's" soon for other fellow masochist in need)

Yeah the link is to a K4 carbs, but it is the same diagram as K6. If you can't find the piece in the diagram then maybe it's an add-on bit and not part of the stock set-up. Only things that come to mind that aren't shown in the diagram are passageway plugs in the carb bodies.
