What levers and master are on that bike? also headlight bucket etc, was the tree shaved, or is it stock for another bike? really like the clean look that bike has.
The master on the CB450 came from
http://HTTP://WWW.MIKESXS.NETIt was the smallest/tightest master I could find on the internet. I would put it on my CB750 in a heartbeat if it could handle dual discs (which it cant).. The headlite bucket is stock Honda, painted low gloss black. The brake lever came with the master, and the clutch lever is stock Honda..The triple tree is the stock tree that came on the bike from the factory. All I did was grind down all the tabs and handlebar mounts, have the remaining holes filled in, then hand filed it until I got the shape I wanted. Alittle low-gloss black spraypaint and I was done. I am really happy with how the front-end turned out, as it is as minimal as you can get while still having the bike functional...
Hey ProTeal - when you slid your triple clamps down on your forks to allow you to mount the clip-ons on top of the upper triple clamp, did it have an effect on how the bike handles?
Haven't rode this bike yet so I cant tell ya, but I did do the same thing to my CB750 and have been riding that bike for about 2 years now. I am sure it affects handling, but I dont ride my bikes like crotch rockets. If I wanted a bike to take a corner at 100mph I would buy a R1 or a Buell..My CB750 has lots of things going
AGINST it as far as handling goes. It is lowered about 3'' up front and 2'' in the rear, 21'' HD wheel up front, 16 HD wheel out back, etc..
So with the big wheel the steering is very heavy, but I have gotten used to it. As I said when I first came on this board, I see these bikes as more
form rather than
function..
If I recall correctly, Teal dropped the back of that bike too
U are correct sir
Both my CB750 as well as the CB450 are now running 11'' short shocks out back...
