Hey 650 Guys
« on: April 06, 2007, 05:53:40 PM »
OK all you 650 guys or anyone else that may have an answer,

We compiled a Speed Bleeder application/size chart last year. I believe it currently resides under brakes in FAQ in case anyone needs to check it out. It is almost complete except we still need Speed Bleeder sizes for the 650s. Who can come up with the info?

Are you just needing the thread size for the bleeder screws on stock cb650 brakes?

I don't have any speed bleeders, but can check the thread size.
Is the brakes the same on the 80-84 as the '79?

Check out http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=259.msg141183#msg141183. You'll notice the SB part number. For instance SB8125. The 8 would indicate 8mm diameter and the 125 (actually 1.25) would indicate the thread pitch. If it has a L after the number that indicates it is longer. For example SB8125 is M8 (8mm diameter) X 1.25 thread pitch with 27.99mm standard length. If it were SB8125L then it would be identical except the length (L) would be slightly longer at 32.54mm. Or SB8125LL would be indentical except the length (LL) would be even longer at 38.09mm. The codes L & LL are not standardized like the 8125 but vary according to part number.
