1979 CB750L restoration needs advice
« on: April 09, 2007, 06:39:34 PM »
Hello, I am restoring a CB750 and would like to know if anyone has refinished the alt.covers what is the clear finish on them. I had to strip and refinish the metal but don't know what to recoat them in. Right now I am planning to use a clear powder coat.  I have a second issue with the tires.  The front aren't to hard to get but the back 4.50 H 17 are a problem , what size do other riders use on their CB750s?    Thanks for looking      rtjohn

Hi,

If you havent already check out www.cb900c.net or also www.cb1100f.net (tell them you have a supersport, other wise they will be angry, but have the best info around).  These two clubs are dedicated to preserving the DOHC bikes much like this site is dedicated to preserving the SOHC.

Good Luck!
