Thanks to the hosting services of David Knupp - we have a home for the 300MB manual I've been providing to some of you on CDROM. For the time being, you can download the manual from:

I have posted 2 versions - the full 300MB download, and the same manual broken into 7 pieces for potentially easier downloading. David may chose to remove one or both copies of the manual at his discretion.

For those of you without high-speed downloading, I'm still happy to provide burned copies of the manual on CDROM by mail. taysan@hotmail.com

I can't take full credit for the quality of the manual - I paid quite a bit for it on eBay a while back, and don't know where it originated. I'm happy to share it with the community - enjoy!

I have a free webspace, but it is only 15 megs. Furthermore, when the ISP detects there is massive traffic from it, they simply cancel the space with no further notice, and there is no way to reset it again, so I have to open a new one.

No, the ones from Honda are crap, very low-res scanned. Anyway, I have them in my USB external hard drive. I'll copy them and will check. I remember I tried to print the service manual, but the printer was so slow I decided to wait and bought one on eBay.

Raul, I'm hosting the 500/550 manual, and I might be able to let you add the 750 manual as well, but I want to wait first to monitor what kind of traffic is being generated by people downloading the manual that's already there. I rent out a pretty substantial amount of space and bandwidth from my hosting provider, but I'd rather err on the side of caution, especially since I have a bunch of sites that I host from there that I can't allow to be adversely affected. I'll be in touch though, OK?

Speaking of hi-res manuals, the parts manuals available on honda4fun seem kind of grainy in places too. Anyone have higher res versions of those? (And, umm... not to sound completely motivated by self-interest here, but specifically, does anyone have a hi-res PDF of the parts manual for the 550K's?)

I only have an original Parts Manual for the CB550F. I was considering cutting the binding off and scanning it, but really, the drawings in the Honda4fun version are close enough, and the parts numbers are all legible. I didn't think it was worth destroying my NOS manual - no greasy fingerprints in my books

Just received CD from tintin in Toronto. I must say these scans are excellent!

Lots of detail about the differences between the 500 and the 550 (I have one of each)

If you can't download - just get him to send you a CD (for a few dollars)

- Seriously, I hope those few that I burned and shipped a CDROM to are pleased, and I'm very happy to finally have this manual available to the community for downloading.
