Hello - title sums it up. I am looking for an element cover for a 1978 CB550K. I think the part number is 17350-374-003. There is one on ebay but it seems to have a shortened funnel portion, I dont know if it affects the function but if anyone knows where to get a full one, that would be helpful.

Side note - does anyone have a trick for removing the choke plate screws on PD46C carbs? Once removed, how about putting them back in?

Thanks for reading, any guidance is appreciated.

The 550K3 is a unique beast among the fours and has a long of one model only parts on the cycle side, engine is standard 550.
As to the carbs those screws are difficult as they are splayed out after fitting, if at all possible leave them allone.
Only way i ever got them out was to file off the end of thread then fit new with locktite but its a risk and personaly i wont work on PD carbs any more due to their recurring problems

17350-374-003 is the number for the most of the 550s with the breather recirc gases system. There were reports of the air filter getting saturated with the oily vapour. The later K3 550s have a shorter pipe (17350-404-670) Whether this makes any difference is anybody's guess.
I think I removed the Pd choke plates with the driver and T piece in the Honda tool kit. Loctite them when replacing.
