Bike Of The Month in danger of disappearing!!
« on: April 27, 2025, 02:20:10 PM »
Aloha from Maui
We really need some nominations, really.
I think there is only one bike left.
Can we find some more bikes to nominate and second so there is something to work with? We need a 2026 calendar don’t we?
Thank you
Steve

I second Den's nomination.  I really like this 305... I'm into cb750 more but my best friend in high school who rode with me had this bike and it was not as nice as  Britman's.  Keeping Bike of the month alive..everyone kick in your nominations!

Bike of the month has always been for SOHC 4s only. Would the world come to an end if the rules were amended to allow other bikes? I know in the past I've seen other bikes that I would have voted for, given the chance. Steve, how about creating a poll, and letting the members decide?

I'd be in favor of that, given the importance of the SuperHawk (and how much I loved mine!).
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

I think the real problem is how difficult it has become to share photos here using modern electronics.  That is a big part of why so many post on Facebook and not here.
If it works good, it looks good...

I'd be in favor of it too, but agree there could be a ton of other bikes posted then. Make it possibly harder for the mods.

Not a bad idea to try a poll to see what folks think. Since I'm not a fan of FB, is there a lot of SOHC activity over there? Is that where the action is?
Is it possible to make posting photos easier here?
I usually don't have any trouble especially if I reduce the file size with an app I have.

I suppose we'd need to amend the rules for BOM with a description of what qualifies.
Any make? Any number of cylinders?
Since this is an SOHC4 forum seems to be a bit of dilution of the purpose of this forum.

Possibly limit it for the time being to only add in other vintage Hondas.
If we have to go that route.

Sorry for mudding the waters with my inappropriate 2nd to the non-SOHC bike.
Got carried away looking at his nice 305's.

We really need some nominations, really.
Can we find some more bikes to nominate and second so there is something to work with?

This is not difficult, we all have bikes that can be nominated, dont make it more difficult than it is!
Just search any thread and nominate the owner/bike on the proper thread!

Gamna & I just nominated two nice bikes....
