I've named myself after my excellent local chippy, so no one should have any problem finding my street, as despite two thousand members here managing to mark themselves on the SOHC4.net map, I failed.
But don't bother coming round after dark to pinch bits off my 1981 CB650z as its kept far away from home, due to the 20mph speed limit, and the proliferation of traffic lights around South London.
I bought this bike as I want to be a man with a motor bike, I know that doesn't make me a biker, and neither does having spent two years as a bike courier. But I did manage to get Thunderhonda, (yes, that's what I call it), to Wedel, near Hamburg, and back to London last weekend. I was very lucky with the "and back" bit, a bit of a roll of the dice really, as I had/have no breakdown cover, and minimal spannering skills, and I had work on Tuesday.
My first ride was to Folkestone, and the bike struggled on the A2 incline after Gravesend, I soon learned that I needed to use the throttle occasionally, and after that she did fine on the Hamburg run.
However, she is now accustomed to caning it down Autobahns and disinclined to idle. I'd be very grateful for any tips beyond the obvious adjustment to slow running speed.
Also, I'm a lonely bastard, so please say hello, and if you're taking advantage of my fish and chips recommendation please give me a toot.
