Suspension rebuild on my 78 CB550
« on: May 18, 2025, 10:56:54 AM »
I managed to buy back my first bike, (the exact one) and its suspension had never really been worked on. I bought a set of Ikon shocks, and race tech springs, and my god what a difference in riding! Stoked to enjoy this bike again years later. At this point in my life it’s nice to have better tools than I did when I first owned the bike, as well as more experience and patience!  Haha

Hope you have many happy miles with it.

I wouldn't want my first bike back, it slid down the road a few too many times...

So many refuse to spend a few bucks on some quality suspension....and then wonder why they don't like riding their old bike
If it works good, it looks good...

It's a little like the people that buy an expensive boat but put cheap lines on to tie it up. We all know where that goes!!
