Greetings, from North Dakota
« on: May 19, 2025, 09:57:29 AM »
Hi everyone, thanks for letting me join the forum!

A little background on me:  I owned a 1976 CB750 back maybe 15 years ago, but didn't know much about working on motorcycles, and frankly didn't have the time to learn on it as I was in college.  Unfortunately, I sold it off at a great price to someone locally.  I did learn a few things on that bike, but have recently really revamped my passion for motorcycles.

I recently fixed up a 1977 Suzuki TS185 enduro bike, and a 1983 Honda Shadow VT750C.  I've recently acquired a 1977 Honda CB550K (K3 maybe?) that's in pretty darn good shape for it's age.  The carburetors need to be gone through, and I'm currently trying to work through that - kind of a painful process with these PD46A carbs.  If anyone has any good info on rebuilding these things, PLEASE let me know! :) I'm loving this new ultrasonic cleaner though, that's a new tool in my toolbox.

Anyhow, thanks for having me here, and I look forward to learning and contributing where I can.

Welcome from Lake Superior,

Remember to check both the in and out boots of the carbs for cracks.
