Who knew it can work without a laser?

I only watched a little bit, but when I saw him tig welding with bare hands, my first thought was "dumb-ass". I was wearing a thin shirt when i had my first lesson tig welding aluminum, and a day later I noticed an irritation on my torso. I looked and saw I had a nasty sun-burn, with a distinct line where I was protected by the bench. I never thought about the rays going right through the shirt..
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Pretty good fix for a lifespan extension and a delicate one with steady hands. Another set of carbs salvaged and I hope the repair holds for a long time.

I wish the video was better. You can't really see the work.

Member Jim French does laser welding repairs of carbs. I haven't heard from him in a while. Hope he's still around. Atlanta area.

He was riding the rod. Then penetrating on top of the puddle. Sounded like he had the AC balance heavy on the positive side.

The welds aren't nuclear grade but if they hang in, they're good enough. Beautiful when the bowls are on and the floats are working.
My homies would be extending the tungsten and making a box of argon to work in. It will fill a container like invisible water.
