Best Way to Drive the Primary Bearing
« on: June 20, 2025, 01:03:15 PM »
What's the best way to drive that bearing that's on the end of the primary shaft back into its hole in the case, after you take out the primary and starting gear when separating the cases?

If you are talkig 500/550 the big ball bearing should be an easy sliding fit in the cases.

Always  a good idea to specify what bike you are talking about, a lot of us old fogies have bad memories!!

1974 CB550/4 - I eventually heated up the case a bit and used a 2 1/4" piece of pipe I had to tap it into place...All is Good
