I definitely need help but I can't get to the first step and admit that I have a problem.  I'm still in denial  ;D

The ad has no information and only states

"Selling all bikes with license plate"

Kannika is speaking to the owner right now.  I don't need to tell her what to ask the owner.  She already knows the important questions.  Personally I think the ad is not a legitimate for sale ad but fake barn find BS like you see on youtube and tiktok. I hope I am wrong!

Thanks Mate.  It's easy to buy but takes lots of hard work and years of experience to get them running well and looking good.

Off-Topic but if you are a compulsive vintage Honda buyer this might be the cheaper way to go rather than continue buying barn find bikes.  Is this worker/engineer hat from Honda motorcycles or Honda cars?? Price is $15

More photos of the Red CB750.  Not very good.  I don't fully understand why the seller does not wheel the bike out and take better photos.  Perhaps he thinks any potential buyer will pay extra for all the dust and dirt  ;)

If engine can rotate by the kickstarter, probably OK. The storage place looks dry and dusty which is a good sign.

A photo inside tank?

A bike interest will keep you in the garage and the roads instead of all kind of bars. There is a risk to live as a tourist for a longer period of time ;D

You have two helpers too ;D
If very young, their mothers to invite for dinner or breakfast ;D ;D ;D

According to the seller the bike is running but . . .

Seller will not name a price
Seller will not give any details about the history of the bike
Seller will not provide additional photos or a video

We have no idea why and can only speculate as to the reason the seller is not more forthcoming.  There is no point in wasting time with a seller who is not prepared and not ready to sell  ::)

Or maybe just doesn't know, perhaps someone who just had it dropped in their lap. Might be worth a visit.

I believe you are correct.  Kannika believes he is selling the bikes for someone else who lives in his area. He might not know anything about the bikes.  If they are not his bikes and they are at a different location he might not have access to them to take additional photos.

We are currently in a wait and see mode with the Red CB750.  Requests to the seller for more photos have been reasonable that any potential buyer would ask for. Seeing only 1/2 of the bike and one side is not enough.

Late Edit:  Seller is non-responsive.  No Worries.  Time to move on.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever been down there?

I went to Perhentian Kecil in Kelantan, then walked across the border to Narathiwat and spent a day there. I speak Malay and most people down there on the Thai side in the south did too -- except for the Thais who had come down. Not a lot of people go down there because of the violence, but pretty interesting place.

I go to Phuket every December for the holidays but rarely go any further South.  About 20 years ago I visited Hat Yai and then on  to Malaysia traveling for about 1 month.  Beautiful Country!

Yes, it appears to be one.   I've seen genuine vintage hats for as much as $300 on eBay.

Re-pops are $37 on Amazon, I'd buy that one for $15 if I was a "hat guy" [I am not]

Thanks Mate. I'm not exactly sure the HONDA cap is original but it was located here in Thailand and it was cheap so I bought it.  Why Not?

Again slightly off topic but the 1st shipment of mostly CB550 parts left the USA today. I think I made sensible buys on the parts but it adds up very quickly.  In addition there is FEDEX shipping and customs duties and tax to pay.

Photo from my package consolidation service in the USA.  Items are measured for volume and scanned for weight when they arrive.

I was in Phuket briefly 4 or 5 years ago during the bike week. Uhhh, a little different than bike weeks here. A million scooters.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

You should visit central Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam at rush hour.  I was trying to cross the street and I am not exaggerating there were over 50 lanes of scooters in one direction and 50 lanes of scooters in the other direction.  Try crossing that traffic on foot - truly an Extreme Sport.

I have visited Hat Yai. A few days before flying to Bangkok during a month round trip in Thailand.

A cheap hotel where I did not want to take my sandals off inside room except for when entering the bed ;)
Carpet that might have had all kinds of dirts and maybe sharp objects hidden in it.
Even worse than another cheap hotel very close to Patpong area a few years earlier ;D

We had been in Phuket 2 weeks before. Took the local bus to Krabi. It was cheaper but took most of the day. We saw a lot though during that trip. From Krabi anorher bus, quicker this time to Hat Yai.

People in Hat Yai were not as friendly as further north. A little bit more reserved as I saw when visiting Malaysia a few years earlier, Penang.

I understand those that never stop to visit Thailand a month or 2 every year. Or even stay there.

I ad the same experience. Just have to wade in and keep going so they can know where you'll be. Stopping or doing something unexpected is what gets you hit.

Vietnam passed new road rules on Jan 1 that are supposed to make things safer, although for pedestrians crossing busy scooter-filled roads you now have to make a hand gesture to let people know you are crossing. Kind of putting the onus on the pedestrian...

Hat Yai is in Songkhla, one of the regions in the South that has a Malay population that includes separatists and rebels. These provinces are poor, and persecuted by the central government, which also tries to move ethnic Thais there, convert people to Buddhism, and make people use the Thai language. Separatism is one of my research interests so I found Narathiwat pretty interesting, and despite the poverty and heavy atmosphere people were great. I also work mostly in very poor regions of Indonesia so I'm used to abject poverty I guess.

Just an explanation why southern Thailand is poor. Nobody is taking a political position.
