Was this on roundtop carbs or??
CB750 round carbs.
Last part about Mikuni TMR when I also had to adjust pilot jets etc.
Round carbs easy to test on remote roads. Only needle height and main jet to adjust. Air screw 1 turn out. If it hesitates at take offs with low lift, reduce 1/8 turn.
But a dyno is safer.
I noticed a difference between CB750 carbs .
My K2 +0.50mm pistons with Yamiya no numbers 4-4 (baffles inside without the padding), stock airbox with K&N filter needed needles at 4th notch + 115 main jet with 086A carbs (K6)
Same bike but 064A carbs (1975 F) must have needles at 3rd notch, main jet 120. (115 work to but better response at higher speeds with 120)
These carbs feels better. Maybe the needles rhat make it.
During my test rides I have checked the plugs. Only the easy not burning wrist plugs, 1,4.
Cruising a few km in 140-150kmh to check needles, kill engine and roll into a parking strip beside road.
When tighten the plugs, do not tighten as done on a cold engine. Must be less.
I had problem to remove the outer plugs, stock tool's pin bent. Only cyl 1,4 plugs.
That after tighten them as usual when engine was hot. I have used anti seize alu paste on threads as I have done the last 10 years.
