Cb400/4 Identify Item In Sump

Found this in my sump, I swear I have actually seen a similar post in the past.

Any ideas what it could be?

It looks like the tip of part of the gearbox selector mechanism, in the upper left of this photo

I’m guessing there is no real big issue with this bit missing? It seems to shift ok.
