Yes, it does idle better at 1300 rpm. Haven’t tried a vacuum synch yet only benched synched. Not really to good vacuum synching carbs but I’ll sure give it a try and see how the rest of you guys are doing it 🤔

No clutch dampers in SOHC 750's. Inside the basket you will find only plates.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't this the back of a SOHC 750 clutch? 
The springs are the dampers.

Its been a long time since I have had a 750 apart.

That is not an SOHC 750 clutch, it's an RC42 which was made starting in the early '90s.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
