I get sucked into doing #$%* from time to time, for a friend of a friend?anyway a mate asked me can you put new brake pads on mates crf 250 he just bought?yeah no sweat bring it around, its a guy Ive worked on another bike for he had aswell as his gas powered gardening gear hes a landscaper, always very thankfull and gives me some beers,so they turn up with brake pads,AND a new acerbis fuel tank AND a spring for the left side fork(these have one spring right side no damping and the left fork no spring but has the damping),AND a race tech vavling kit,oh ok,so did the pads easy, bit of a fiddle with the gas tank and left the fork till this morning, got it all done, took it for run up my street which includes a pretty steep hill and I must say these 250s must be detuned???#$%*,fuel injected its pretty lame,I got two boxes of 30 can beers out of it though!I didnt fit the new valve kit I said only swap one thing at a time, after riding the bike hes happy with it reckons the valve kit wasnt needed,I said we can #$%* around with that later, its a pretty lame bike and he aint gonna notice fine damping mods, mostly road use has road registration.

Hi Dave, I did the forks  on my CRF450r a couple years ago but they must be quite different now.  Mine was a 2008 and had the same components in both legs back then. But yeah, do a little research on those if you have not had a set of upside downs apart before.
If it works good, it looks good...
