Topic: Will exhaust for '79 750 DOHC fit '78 SOHC?

As the title mentions, will an exhaust for a '79 CB750 DOHC fit and work with a '78 SOHC 750F? There's one ~nearby, but I want to check fit before spending time & money.

I don't know exactly which model, seller just mentions "1979 750" but I expect it's DOHC given the other parts for sale.

The header section can fit but needs some tweaking (bending) of a couple of the tubes. I fitted a V&H sidewinder to Sam Green's automatic and Frank's drag F2 has one as well. That being said they are sidewinder pipes so there was no hassles fitting the collector.

The dohc motor has a deeper sump, so if the pipes go under it then when fitted to a sohc 750 you get a very odd looking gap between pipes and motor

 I put a V&H header on a 900, the buyer cheaped out on it so I kept it and put it in a cb750 sohc for a bit, it now is oiled and in its original box awaiting a new project.

thanks all for the input. These are definitely for DOHC and my pipes are fairly good, so I'll pass.
