Thanks for all the information. I decided to go ahead and buy the finned covers - Why Not? I have a tendency to pull the trigger first and ask questions later. I still might try removing the dents from the existing cover and see how it looks. I appreciate the helpful hints on dent removal. Finned covers should be here tomorrow and I'm curious to see how the old aged aluminum of the covers matches the engine on the bike.
