This will be interesting. I've done this before and I'll be honest 90% of these units go overseas. I don't care about that but  the reality is everybody wants one until they are finished and then there are crickets. No more of these....this is me doing my best for a bike I love so much. You would not believe all the interest when they are gone. Christ....you'd think nobody had a chance buy one. ;D ;D ;D

I used to run some group buys for custom Bullet molds. We would order minimum 25 units and typically 30 or more wanted one prior to order. We typically ordered a few extras. There was a steep price break at 100 quantity but we never ever had that many commit. I had 40 participants on one group buy and took a few C notes out of my own pocket and ordered (100). I just kept telling people over the next two years that I had a "few extra" and I would sell them one. Finally they all sold. Had people found out they would have been angry but they were not dipping into their own pockets to order (100) vs (40) of them.

I have to say things have gone much smoother this time around and I appreciate the fellas I've been working with. No procrastination. Doing a group by on the pistons/gaskets to save everybody some dough there too. I appreciate the commitment and prompt follow up from the guys.

It makes sense to get all the exactly correct "stuff" really.

So is there a popular formula for building a one liter 750?

Ported head with OS intakes, Megacycle 125-70 or comparable, good rods, HD cylinder studs, HD primary/cam chains and a primary drive rebuild with fresh rubbers. That's the basics in my book. I'd recommend good carbs like the Mikuni RS-34's are a very good idea as well.

I found a new set of Wiseco 70mm pistons that have had the pin moved up 3mm. These are meant to work with a 6mm stroker crank. and yield 1062cc's. These have XA rings and have a notable dome. They look like they would work well with an F2 head with some chamber modification. I'll post a picture in a day or 2. Anyway...I'd let them go for 450.00. If anybody is interested drop me a PM.

I have a stroker crank but I'm not sure I'd risk a new build on it. I had it magged and the guy said it blew his mind until he realized it was a welded stroker, he said it had no sharp lines, just fuzzy lines where the welds overlapped. It was in an 1124 with a sunken sleeve.

Here are some pics on this link. https://www.cyclexchange.net/Engine%20Parts%20Pistons%20Page/Stroker%20Pistons/Stroker%20Pistons.htm

Don....I had Marine Crankshaft stroke a crank for me. The one I sent was mint....like 2 balancing holes in it. They did a fantastic job and Stu can attest to that. I'll start a thread with my build. Got the F2 head back from Stetson with VJ etc etc...it also came out great. The porting sucks but it was done by an amateur. ;) ;D ;D

Mike, bigger welded inlet spigots? Or, the ported F2 inlets will due?
Smaller ex valves to leave room for bigger inlet valves like 35mm or what can be thrown in.

My ported heads, 300 (K6, K2) and 392 have all smaller IN spigots ID than my 32 mm carbs. Max 30mm.
Must be the limitation for more power that could be closer to 120 than 110whp with a bigger port head.

I heard about a swiss guy with a Billet block, 71.25 mm pistons, 125-70/75 and 120whp. Head with bigger welded inlet spigots.
Smaller ex valves for bigger in.

The clutch should keep it together too ;D

I read about Honda CB1100R 1983. 120hp on crank, 106whp @ 9000rpm.
70mm pistons, 1062cc.
This cc is what a CB750 gets with 70mm pistons and 69mm stroke.

The whp numbers feel familiar ;D
Torque 98 Nm at 6800rpm. 6Nm more than my K6. But the CB1100R wake up earlier.
A stroker crank might make an earlier torque curve.

https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cb1100rd_83.html

This is what you will get with 970 and up with 125-70/75 cam.  Ported head 33.5/34mm inlet valves.

Compression is vital. My K6 got 101whp with ca 200- 205PSI,
104-105/107whp DIN  215-225PSI. Cheap tester. Advanced cam timing affect it too.

Compression increased with thinner gaskets.
Started with base RCS 0.02",  head 0.04" MLS.
Then  0.03" head, later followed by 0.01 RCS.
Total 0.5 mm less chamber height  by gaskets -1.92cc on 70mm bore, -1.99cc 71.25mm bore.

I read about squish on the race forum where an austrailan race tuner wrote that about 1mm squish is a good number.

If piston outer flat area is flush with cylinder head gasket area without base gasket. Thin RCS + thin MLS makes 1mm.  ;) My 70 and 71.25 mm pustons have flat top domes and outer flat areas.
Domes for the 23.7cc chambers.

My engine with 125/75 runs very smooth and even. A good street bike.
I ordered a new 125/70 via Mike very soon after I installed the 125-75 and a few test rides. Must have one extra just for sure.
I doubt there is a better cam for this setup.
Plan B street cam an RC/DP295.

The flatslide carbs have a little bit too good throttle response.

I hope the dyno forum thread will get new posts next year. ;D

Edit:
Gas ported pistons?
I have not tested mine yet, lateral. They belong to my Billet block.
