Ancient 400F gasket set.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if this was a quality name at one time.
I'm thinking that it must be; the gentleman pictured is even warning me to beware of imitators! How honourable is that? ;D
I just recently read on here about how newer head gaskets are too thick and will cause seeping of the oil control jets at the cylinder/head interface.
I'm hoping that these are old enough to have been made to the proper spec.
The best news is, I finally got around to replacing and reaming all eight guides so that they all have stem seals now.
I topped it all off with Kibblewhite seals and now for the first time since I've owned this bike, it doesn't smoke at all.
Small victories. :)
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

Yes those were a good brand, that set is probably at least 20 years old. No idea about the thickness, but I suggest you get all the seals out of the packet and lay them out for a day or 2 so they can regain their original shapes

Yeah, that brand gaskets sets turn up NOS on eBay from time to time.   Have used them on Suzuki's.  Fit was good and no leaks.
If it works good, it looks good...
