Another quick update.  I bought 2 NOS plug cap sets from Japan - they are marked NICHIWA with SD05F on the straight caps and VD05F on the 120 degree caps.  I don't know if these are the earlier non resistor or later resistor type caps?

I was watching another set of end caps and just received a 50% off discount offer from the seller for $30 for the set. These caps look earlier with no stamping at all.  My quess is that these are more likely the earlier non resistor caps.  At $30 I bought them - Why Not.  Purely quesswork - buying dumb and blind.

That '05F' indicates they have the 5kΩ resistor inside. Plugcaps on all the Honda SOHC Fours had 5-6,5kΩ  resistorcaps. So congrats! Both Nichiwa and NGK are excellent caps.

So the 2 sets of end caps I purchased from Japan and stamped  05F are resistor type end caps.  Thank You!  What about the set of unmarked end caps that I just bought?  Resistor or Non-Resistor?

Late Edit:  My apologies for the incorrect information.  The end caps I bought from Japan are not stamped SD05F and VD05F but only stamped NICHIWA - MADE IN JAPAN.  Better to wait until they arrive so I can see what I actually bought - I really don't know.

If there's no brand, no mark, only a measurement will tell. That is dead easy to do with even the simplest multimeter. Where you live such a meter is less than $ 10,-. Select 20k on your meter put a probe in each side and the meter will tell. Sometimes it is hard for the probe to reach the contact inside the cap. Then put a screwdriver or anything in there for contact and put the probe to the screwdriver's steel.

Thank You.  I will test them when they arrive.

Yes, and just set the multimeter to ohm (symbol: Ω, the uppercase Greek letter omega)

If you dont have a multimeter it is def worth the small investment

NGK genuine authentic end caps and also other NGK parts are getting harder to find. I will be needing 8 splicers/connectors for the new wiring.   The Thailand supplier only had 3 of the early high quality splicers/connectors in stock so I had to buy them from 2 different sources (Thailand and USA)

your ignition will disturb the radio in the police car and you'll be fined.

I saw this and could not help myself being a rider of three H2 Kawasaki triples with non resistor plugs employing CDI ignition. Had them for over a decade and still no tickets. They came that way new and it has to be the filthiest system known to man but it is still being ridden all over the planet. I can hear the ignition at idle through my intercom lol.
