The stock location of the carb drain/overflow bracket places the tubes directly in front of the rear tire on the late 750s, which was a mistake on Honda's part. For one thing, if there is a carb malfunction and fuel is leaking out of the tubes, it will go under the tire, possibly causing a loss of traction. Second, there have been issues with the later PD carbs when riding in the rain, possibly due to the water coming off the tire spraying past the ends of the tubes, creating a siphon and pulling air out of the float bowls faster than the tiny float bowl vents can replace. I recommend relocating the bracket so the tubes are on either side of the tire; I think the earlier bikes had the tubes routed to the right side?
