Honda CB 750 F1 Gastank
« on: October 05, 2025, 09:25:17 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the Honda CB 750 F1 from 1976.

Is it possible to mount a fuel tank from a K model on this bike? In other words, are the dimensions and mounting points compatible? I know that some of those tanks have the fuel tap on the opposite side, but if that’s the only difference, would the swap be possible without major modifications — or maybe even plug and play?

Thanks for your answers in front and a nice evening.

Best regards
Samuel

I think they fit but dont match the seat
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

If you use a 77/78k tank it works pretty good .  Earlier k is too short, there will be a gap between seat and tank.
If it works good, it looks good...
