Wow, Thank you.  It's merged into the build thread with my other K0's. I'll post a couple pics. #1 is as purchased, fortunately the family had some original parts for it although I had to buy another bike to get them. This is the day it came home.
It was the first 750 sold here, Gene Stoneking bought it in Dec. of 69, Charlie Rice assembled it from the crate just before he shipped off to Vietnam. He also assembled a blue green one that he bought used after he returned from the Army and still has it.
Tom Campbell owned it after Gene passed away, he never titled it or got it running. He let me take pics of the cable and wiring routing so I could assemble my 14,100 bike. Tom mentioned selling it, but it was awkward since Tom had ALS. Later I heard there was an estate auction and that's where I got it.
A guy that I know at the sale said he had a friend that collected Sandcast bikes, and one old guy read the VIN loudly, mentioned that the tank trim had no stripe, then he asked why the manual would be dated 4/69? I thought we would be bidding against each other and after $1,000 the old timers dropped out and it was only us. I was a little too eager to bid and he wanted to buy a KZ900 that was yet to sell so he dropped out after $2200.   He hadn't figured it out. The guy that assembled it was there but he said he just wanted the engine for his 9,000 era diecast.
I had just retired and was nervous about the money but how could I not buy it?

Here it is after it got its rolled rim and handlebars back but before the Yamiya red seat foam under the original cover. I was installing the Yamiya exhaust that I got for $1200 from Mach IV motors on Ebay. He was not thrilled with the price but honored the sale. The heat shields and Hardware came from Charlie Rice's shop, the same guy that assembled it.

The tall handlebars went to the son of the original owner who made a trike for his grandkids with them. The grunge on the bike that scared away some of the bidders was WD40 and garage dirt paired with Blue Coral wax was that was caked everywhere and not polished off by Gene. I left the wax on the back of the turn signals to remember Gene by.
It's still under 10,000 miles, I did get it up to 95mph before I started worrying about bluing the 4-4's They are coated with Eastwood inside the pipe exhaust coating and should last a while. The chromed parts were the reason Gene's son stopped riding it. Gene was not pleased to come home and find the bike apart for chroming. I think the son was banned from the bike after it got re-assembled. I stripped the parts on the left side but not the rocker cover or clutch cover.

(I've been K0'ed) in the project shop. The sandcast starts at post #117

This is the Guy that assembled it from the crate (right) and my brother Bud (left) who was working at Grand motor sales then also, he gave me my first ride on a motorbike.

Thanks, I've been lucky to have gotten some great deals on a few nice bikes over the years.
