I'm not a huge Kiss fan, but I do like a few of their songs.  Ace wrote this good one.

RIP Ace...

My first concert was Kiss.  September, 1977.  The Love Gun tour.  The Summit, Houston, TX.  My favorite Ace tune is Strange Ways off the Hotter Than Hell album, with Peter Criss on vocals.

Hey Bud...I have a few buddies that were Kiss fanatics, Jim saw them 27 times!  [plan to buy hm a bottle of "Cold Gin" for his new home bar]

Our daughter was gifted two tickets to the "End of the Road Tour" Oct 2023 in Austin, but she asked her boyfriend instead of me to go!

Looking at the setlist, I now regret not going...

A nearby cafe very popular for bikers and others had a very good sounding jukebox.
The first song I let it play at my first ride on my K6 and cafe stop each year, Kiss and "I Was Made for Lovin' You".
From 1980 and a couple of years after.

Cocaine in my brain another fun tune we could order 4-5 times in a row making people crazy. ;D

This together with coffee and a hot burger sandwich wirh cheese all over. Good times.

Ha!

I had just started 9th grade when I saw them.  It was the Love Gun tour.  The concert was filmed.  I have a DVD around here somewhere with that show.  Styx opened for them.  I had all the Kiss albums, but when their solo albums came out, I lost interest and moved on.

I looked on Ebay to see if the Ace Frehley signature guitars were all sold. I'm shocked to see hundreds of china clones from $300 down. No pictures show the face of the headstock.

There's one on Reverb for $60k.  1 of 12 that Ace owned himself.
