small potatoes-cb450 tach/odom...
« on: April 11, 2007, 06:51:35 PM »
my new tach and odometer cables fit my instrumentation just fine but where they connect to either the bottom of my fork or the side of my engine is kinda weird and I am not sure if I have the wrong cables or if I am probably just missing some parts..ie clips or something..

1   the tach looks like it fits into the side of my engine fine but there is nothing there for screwing the female part onto it-interestingly enough there is a flush surface there with a screw hole for what looks like a small piece that could have the male part sticking out...anyone know what i am saying?

2   the speedo cable has no threaded end,(wheel end at bottom of fork) yet there doesn't really seem to be need for one as it looks like it just plugs in there as it is BUT nothing is preventing it from falling out so...

I have pix of these very situations but on a new camera the software of which is currently crashing my computer so if ANYONE reading this has  a clue I would love to hear something. Link me something or describe it or whatever. In the meantime I will try to get the pix up so it is much more clear.

THANKS!

Remove the screw totally, then stick the cable end in and replace the screw. Both cables. :)
