That is certainly an achievement to be proud of.

I recently watched a few series on military selection and training here in France for the foreign legion and the US army and marines.

Only the very best get through.  I was humbled.

45 years ago I was working in Colfax, WI, as a field engineer, proving to the customer that the equipment my company had installed passed all their requirements. I had already been there a month when I got a call from my boss in Sunnyvale CA, asking me what I was going to do for Thanksgiving. I told him I would just hang out at the Howard Johnson's in Eau Claire where I had been staying. "Oh no", Frank said, adding "You should be home with your family." I said "Frank, by the time I fly back, there won't be enough time to drive the 200 miles down to my folk's house and back." "You really need to come back." "Frank, just what the f**k do you want??!!" "You have to come back and work a 12 hour shift in the Technical Assistance Center Thanksgiving day/evening."
