drilled handlebars

I want some lower handlebars so I look cool.  :P Was thinking satin black, but I don't see alot of pics of them. Should i try to get the bars drilled with the OEM holes? Thanks

 If your bike came with the wires inside, drilled ones makes sense. Otherwise, you have to modify the controls to route the wires outside. Also, the bars carry a ground for some circuits, so paint or powder coat might be an issue.

Thanks Don. Just talking with my son looking at pics online. I think chrome would be better anyway. Lots of black up front already. I think Euro bars are close to what I want.

Euro bars are good and 400F bars are popular as well...

If you are going to drill the bars, you've got to be careful. First, the wiring for the switches is 50 years old and can be brittle. You can always lube it with something to make it slide in and through better, and I tie something like fishing line to the end to route that through the bars first to make it easier. You've also got to file down the inner and outer edges of the bars to make sure that when you route the wiring it doesn't cut the housing.

I've done both -- threading and notching the switch housing to route the wires externally. The latter is much easier, the former looks better...
