First ride on, new to me 1974. 30 miles, longest trip the bike had made in 20 years, ran like brand new….
Welcome aboard the forum Hudson Jo from southern NH (but currently on a late season ride about on my goldwing in Dallas)
That isca great looking K4. I have a friend in NH that still has his K4 he bought new in 74 that I work on to keep it running properly for him. In 2023 I did some extensive work on it cleaning the carbs and tank out, patching holes in the original mufflers, full 3,000 mile tune-up, tires, and more as it had 56,000 miles on it then. I had the Windjammer off and took it to our local bike night for a test ride.

Go to the new members section and introduce yourself and your bike to us, as to your story and the bike's story. We like pictures too!

BenelliSEI, that's a real nice one. I'm still riding this K4.  Just regular maintenance 35K miles cloudy in Portland, Oregon

Did you build a 4 valve per cylinder head for it?

A few photos from the ride up to Bonneville Point that I didn't use in the other thread.  The 750 scoffs at rough roads.

My son installed a set of mild Kenda “dual sport” tire o our K3 and it’s really very good in gravel and dirt…… Sand, not so much!

The BT46 rear tire I put on works pretty well, too.  Fairly deep tread.

Greg, love your blue skies, red bike, no clutter in photos.

Thanks, Kevin.

Happy New Year 2026 Greg.
I like that sky.  :)
Thanks Bill, same to you.  Once I got away from the Boise area, the air wasn't as scuzzy.

Brrr!  Happy New Year!

Thanks Jeff. It was a little nippy. I realized after the first mile I forgot to change to the smart wool socks before I left, but was too lazy to go back.  My toes got pretty cold before I got back.

^Beautiful pictures Greg!

Thanks Dennis.  Selling price is now $173,702.30.

Selling price is now $173,702.30.

That is 279.546 km!
This is without engine update, such as bore, new pistons and head job (guides, valves), right?
Clutch is not replaced?

Still not an oildrinker, smoker?
If so, a fantastic model how to take care of the bike with how to use it,  service intervals, type of oil etc , etc.

You are still riding while I have winter with snow here.
Last year 2025, my first ride was April 2.
Only 3 months left ;)

I wish you a Happy New Year!

The farthest I have been in the engine was to change the pucks under the cam holders years ago to address the leaks there.  As you know, I've talked about all that stuff in the highest mileage and the XX years  on a '75F threads.

Happy New Year to you, too, PeWe.  Usually, I wouldn't be doing much riding this time of the year either.  But the roads are clean.  I was going to try a New Year's Day ride today, but it is raining and 35F at the moment.  It is supposed to let up later, but the kids are coming over, so probably won't get the chance.

Nice bike, bigutah.
