The auction craziness season has started
« on: January 17, 2026, 01:57:50 PM »
The winter auction series started today in the UK, with some startling results it seems, this ATC250 made £18k + fees, and a new Yamaha Banshee made £40k.  I had no idea there was such a market for these trikes/quads, I'd have guessed at £2k each.  Once all the auction results are online I'll add the link

The early yamaha dirt bikes have always drawn top dollar for years now, it was just a matter of time before the honda's followed suit. What gets me is, they made tons of these bikes in the day and they sold new for next to nothing, and there's still many of them out there. It is what it is. Too many dollars in too many hands...
Start with the end in mind...

Yes some high prices for the bikes too, but they aren't all that what I'd call early, most were from the 2000s. I still tend to think of classic status being 1970s & earlier, it's easy to forget that times have moved on.
