The upper and lower mounts should be 10mm.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

He means the shock "eye"  not the stud on the frame, which is M10 thread, but the stud itself is bigger than that.

I can measure it for you later today if nobody pitches in.

Exactly, the thread is M10, but then it steps up where the eye sits. If you or anyone happens to be around their bike today and could quickly measure that would be immensely helpful (won't be able to get to my garage till Friday)

Thanks!

No, to put a washer between the shock and the frame, there's a little bit of play there.

The washer goes on the outside of the shock, especially if you have no grab bar. You may be bottoming out your acorn nut?

Yeah I have that washer, its the 10mm between the acorn nut and the shock.

What I'm saying is I have some play on the stepped up part of the bolt, where the actual eye of the shock sits so I'm needing to put a washer between the shock itself and the frame.

The shock I have has 22mm and 24mm inner diameter of the top eye. The eye is not cylindrical, the smaller diameter is in the middle of the eye.
