Hello from PNW
« on: February 19, 2026, 06:50:23 PM »
Hi everyone. New member here in the Seattle area who is getting back in to riding after a 25 year-ish break. I last owned and rode a 1998 Honda CBR600 in my early 20's, but lately I've been more interested in the vintage Hondas. Looking forward to learning from the collective knowledge base and getting to know you all better. Thanks in advance.

Kyle

Welcome Kyle from WI. You'll find the guys here very welcoming and happy to answer questions. Not to mention most of us have a stash of old parts we may never use...LOL. If you're looking for a certain SOHC let us know. Some of us have more project bikes waiting in the wings that we may be willing to part with. Member Hondaman has written some good technical books on bringing these bikes back to life. You may want to check it out.

Hi Kyle,

Welcome!

I am new here also, and back to riding after an extended period of time (40 years for me!)

I'm loving it, but having problems getting confidence back for low-speed maneuvers.. practice makes perfect I guess  :)

GL on your new adventure.

Cheers, Dave

Welcome to the best forum there is, Kyle.
I am in Kirkland.
It's been a while since I have attended, but Backfire Moto Night in the Greenlake area attracts a lot of vintage SOHC's.
I think it's the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
If it weren't such a pain in the a** to get over there, I'd go.
Ride safe, Seattleites are horrendous drivers, mostly without insurance.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome.  I recently bought a 1973 CB350F with 4k miles and I'm hooked on riding (Again!).  Been reading everything I can on maintenance procedures and upkeep on these bikes and will test my mechanical skills here soon with a 1,500 mile checkup.  Thanks for the ideas on local gatherings...would be great to see some other SOHC bikes and make some new friends.

The CB350F is a great bike and you can have some fun riding it. A people flock to them at the local gatherings.
We have a local bike night in my hometown in NH every Wednesday and there are several CB350Fs that show up once and a while.
Hondaman is currently getting his going again but hasn't put out a book on the 350 yet, just the 750 and the 500/550, but maybe he will while doing it??
