The 1st one is pronounced intimate and the 2nd is pronounced intimate.  Get it?

If gay, it's in-tim-ate. If not it's in-timate.

There are 2 pronunciations:

1) [in-tuh-meyt] (To indicate or make known indirectly; hint; imply; suggest.)
2) [in-tuh-mit] (Associated in close personal relations: an intimate friend.)

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/intimate

In other words, "How can I suggest this to my closest friend?".

Thanks Jonesy, I was completely lost before your explanation.  Wow, my world is a better place now.  You do understand that I am being sarcastic.

Actually the sarcasm was mine, as I when I posted the original list, I didn't know either. This was my way of saying, "Am I the only one here who wasn't too lazy to pick up a dictionary?"  ;D
