I think that's the standard later one, the same one that's used in the 500. That one appears to be the no rubber grommets (6mm holes) type but alas with the brake hook missing... the type I never did find!

edit: even with this fender with symmetrical left/right mounting holes these era bikes didn't have the stud on the right fork to allow a twin disc setup to be used?

I think that's the standard later one, the same one that's used in the 500.

The early CB750 K0-K2 fender bracket has a wide mounting bracket for the wider lugs of the brake mounting caliper (left side) and narrow bracket for the right side.  Later CB750 K3-K6 and CB500/550 use the same later fender with narrow bracket for the brake mounting caliper (left side) with built in attached brake line holder and narrow bracket for the right side

In the photos of the mystery fender the mounting brackets are wide for both sides??

I found this photo of the old rusted front fender when the bike first arrived . . .  and the brake fluid in the master cylinder had turned to congealed sludge (high humidity in Thailand) and front brake caliper was seized.  What a Mess ::)

  • Bike almost back to the 70's 2015
There are brake fluid testers on Amazon for not much.
I have ordered 2.
One small like a thick pen with LEDs. OK, almost bad or bad.
A bigger one that show how much water it is in it. I have to know how bad it is, not only bad.

Be sure to verify the return hole in MC is not blocked.
Both my bikes MCs where blocked. No squirting fluid when pumping, release lever with cap off. 4 years since last fluid change.
Brake can lock-up without functional return hole in MC.

Fluid recommended to be replaced every 2 years here  in Sweden.

Yes.  Songkran in April.  Rainy season has started with huge downpours.  Excellent suggestion to change the brake fluid every year here in Thailand.  I never change the brake fluid on my Honda CRF250L and the brake fluid is still good - reservoir is screwed tightly shut so no humidity or water can enter.  I don't think the CB750 screw top reservoir cap is a tight seal so I will change the fluid every year. Thank You Sir!
