Not just another tire thread
« on: April 19, 2007, 04:59:28 AM »
I've done the search, read FAQ's, but I've got a specific tire question. I'm looking for the highest performance tires for my 550 I can find in terms of grip and handling. I've got my 550 project running like a dream, next are handling mods. Tapered steering bearings, bronze swingarm bushings, steering damper, etc. I don't care too much about tire wear, this bike will only probably get a few thousand miles a year. It's currently got TT100's which are hard and begining to weather check. Any recomendations would be appreciated.

I use Metzelers and find them very grippy. Years ago I used them on my racing bike and found them as good as genuine Dunlop racing tyres.
