Identify these bikes

I don't know suzukis very well.  I'm curious if anyone can identify the two bikes pictured below.

the first  bike looks like one of the design derivatives of the GS650G Katana.
can't remember if it was a 1000 or 1100 but I thought it lacked the look of the original, which was so nice I sold my GS1000EC to buy a new one

Well, they're both GS series bikes, I can tell you that.

The second one looks like it has been lowered (and has flat tires)  ;)

I think it says in the foreground on the cardboard box in the first pic what they are
"ADD NITRO" , Just Do It!

It looks as if the badges are still on the sidecovers of the bike in the second pic.  Can't tell for sure...

In the US at least, the first one is an '82 GS1100E. like Wykydron said. I had an '83, looked the same except red, great bike. There was also an '83 model with a mini-fairing but the same other bodywork, then the Katana like the one Scummy posted. Can't remember the designators. In '84 they went to the GS1150.
The second one is older at the tank and headlight but looks like it has the seat from the '82.
