Where can I get aftermarket tank/sidecover decals?
« on: April 21, 2007, 10:28:47 PM »
My bike is now painted and I am thinking of throwing a couple of decals on it. I wonder if anyone here has any links to suppliers who sell non orig, cafe inspired tank or sidecover decals. I know about carpy's stuff and I may use his norton inspired honda decals on the tank but before I commit I wonder if there are other options. Anyone?

I made my own and printer of a color printer, stuck them on the side covers then cleared over top to hold them in place.

Oops, should say Laser color printer, inkjets will run when wet.

CBDecals.com

I just received the whole set for my bike and the decals look good.  The set came with every little decal that was on the bike, even the exhaust warning decal.

No what I am getting at here is cool aftermarket, non original ideas. I have absolutley no creative talent when it come to paint colors and decals but I know what I like when I see it so I was wondering if anybody knew of any places selling cafe inspired decals and stuff other than Carpy. He is the only one I have found so far and while I like his stuff I dont want to go that route and then find out about a better option 2 weeks later.

Blaize,

Take a look through Doug_ID's thread on building his cool 550.  After he had already gone with Carpy's Norton-esque tank decal, someone came up with a link for a really nice Honda Wing - but it was the style from the '60's as opposed to the modern day one.

I think the company was M5 Racing - or something?  I know they do custom work for these SOHC4's.

Good Luck!

Check this:

or this:

here you will have at least the old Honda wing in cdr format. Bring it to any advertisement shop, and they will cut it for you on a plotter.

The way i did it - as well as my wife's virago - take a look at the picture. Just lok around on the web, and trnsfer it into corel. If u can't - I bet that the plotter shop will do it for you (for a fee of course :) )

Have fun!
