1972 CB750 FRONT SPROKET OIL LEAK

GOING ON A TRIP AND MY BUDDYS CB750 LEAKS OIL BEHIND THE FRONT SPROKET.SAID HE FIXED THE CHAIN OILING BOLT BUT STILL LEAKS BAD.IS IT THAT HARD TO CHANGE THE SEAL BEHIND THE SPROKET? HAS ANYBODY ELSE RUN INTO THIS

I thought mine had the same problem, until about two days ago when I decided to tear in to it, and found a hole punched in the case from a chain coming off.

yup, when I cleaned mine up to paint I found a JB weld patch covering the same thing.
