I think the restaurant you wanted to recall in Pojuaque is Gabriel's.

I'm bummed out to miss you guys when you're riding right past!  Tomorrow morning I'm already in-hospital before 06:00.  And I think I'm away when you all ride back.

Have a great trip!

and the first round of pics rolls in...
this is the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge... and obviously the Rio Grande Gorge and Rio Grande  :P

i'm not sure why i'm taking you backwards thru the trip but, who cares?  This pic was after La Veta Pass in Colorado on the way back to Pueblo.  notice the ice on dad's fork boots  :-\  you can see what we just came thru at 9,000feet altitude in the background.

and the ice on my jacket  8)

and a tasty treat of motorcycles to fill the eyes w/ joy.  dad's garage is like a candy store.  there's also a 75/5 toaster tank, 86 srx6 and ex250 lurking behind the paris dakar.

nobody cares huh?  i guess that means you don't want to see the 15+ minutes of video either... oh well, just makes it easier for me to not have to edit.

it was right at the freezing mark up on the pass.  i put my foot down a few times just to make sure it wasn't icing up... i was a little unsure whether it was or not the last time i put it down  :-\  dad swore up and down it wasn't.

i was working on the video but every time i try to mess w/ it in windows movie maker it crashes.  my gf took my laptop on her 2 week mars simulation in utah (yes, you heard me) that has nero... my editing program of choice.

pictures coming up.

Hey Heffay!

Don't get discouraged, it seems a lot of people read the tour reports, but few comment. I'm not sure why. The same is true over at ADVRider.com. The trip reports are the most popular part of that site, in  terms of the total hits, but people post more comments about a pair of used boots for sale. ???

Looks like a fun trip, if you have grip warmers!  Everytime I see the Rio Grande Gorge, it reminds me of that sceneat the end of the Milagro Beanfield War (the book, not the movie, sadly, the scene didn't make it into the movie). Near the end, Jose Mondragon drives the developer's road grader off the edge of the gorge! I can't see the gorge without thinking about the sound a road grader would make bouncing down the canyon! I guess I can't blame the producers for leaving that scene out of the movie. Who's gonna ask the BLM for a permit to wreck a road grader into the gorge?

Hope you stopped at the Apple Tree in Taos for dinner!

Your dad's garage looks like a fun place to hang out!

Hey Heffay!

Did you all stop to eat at Gabriel's in Pojuaqe?

Sorry I missed you guys!  I'm still in Beit Shemesh for another week+.  Ya know, I did army night orienteering courses in these very hills 20 years ago.  Kept getting my squad lost up the wrong hill... :-[    :D :D :D
