Now the rebuild begins....
« on: May 05, 2007, 11:16:03 AM »
As i commented on in the road rash thread. I had an accident on thursday night and i laid the Interceptor down. It was partly my own stupidity that did it though..the other part of it being very slick roads. I went to pull away from the intersection when the tail kicked out from under me twisting the bike to the left first then to the right then back left again as i was ejected from it to land on my right side on the pavement below. End result of that little ride? broken right front singal light, broken mirror, broken brake handle, scuffed engine case and scuffed muffler can. Damage to me?...just a lot of bruising.

Either way it kinda saddens me not being able to ride this weekend. I made a vow not to return to the street till i made the repairs needed to the bike. Which once i start ordering parts will be soon.

The interceptor is road worthy again. I traded my K4 for my roomates bike which is the same model but a year older. it had some low profile mirrors on it as well as the other parts i needed. So at the cost of my CB i regained the ability to ride once more..went out for a ride tonight just to prove to myself that it didnt break me...Hell right now my nerves are still buzzin from the adreneline rush. I missed that sensation...Its almost as if the bike was trying to tell me that i was getting too cocky and needed to hone my riding skills.
