Kiwis, what are they good for? Absolutely nothing!  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ah, humble pie, my favorite dish! Ha ha, and Nick is quite right, John Britten was a hero to me in the same mold as Burt Munro. In fact, quite a lot of Oz's famous people are actually from NZ, Russel Crowe and Keith Urban being just a couple that come to mind right now.

I think that we should eventually annex NZ like Germany annexed Austria back in the late 1930's, that way we could teach the Kiwi's how to play cricket and rugby properly, (not to mention how to pronounce certain words) so as to avoid the embarrassment we all share here in Oz, when we're visiting other countries and we're mistaken for Kiwi's, ha ha!  ;D

don't forget our bands that you claim: Split Enz, Crowded House, Dragon just to name a few.
re annexing, I would have no complaints there, as long as we got some warmer weather as well.

Well I was never a fan of Split Enz or CH Scunny, and as much as I felt sorry for Mark Hunter dying so young, I never thought much of Dragon either.

To me, one of the best voices I've ever heard belongs to one Max Merret, and being a child of the 1970's, I have wonderful memories of listening in awe to songs like "Slipping away" and "Western Union Man". Max would be my second favorite male singer/songwriter of all time, closely following Jim Croce. Enough said, Kiwi's are great people, but only just "good" sportsmen, ha ha! ;D
