newly installed Dyna S and rain don't agree

installed ignition and coils a few weeks ago(78cb750F2), and this morning I got caught in the rain. A few clicks into the rain and the bike went on what felt like 2 cylinders. Now could ANY exposed wire (in the new ignition system) cause this malfunction?
What am I looking for? I'm assuming that the problem is in my new electrical work cause I never had a problem in the rain before, not that I saw alot
may be getting in somewhere else?
Any info or past exp. with rain and
would be appreciated
thanks

Probably the connections at the coil HT wires

Hi nuke,
Yes, I would check connections at coils; I have a Dyna S on my '74 cb750 K4 and I have ridden in hard rain many, many times and many, many miles.
Never had a problem with my Dyna S; feet did get a might cold......

Check the points cover - the cork gasket is pretty useless. I seal mine with silicon when I put it on and it stays dry. It used to lose a couple of cylinders for a few minutes even going through a puddle before I did that.

Don't ignore the connection at the plug end. Some fill the wire ends with dielectric grease and then push onto the plugs to keep water out.
I ran a CB650 points cover (cast aluminum) on my 550, and did my last motorcycle course on it in 2 solid 8 hour riding days in pouring rain. Points/condensers and no problems. No gasket, no silicone.
