Looking for a CRG bar end mirror look alike that isnt $50 !!
« on: April 27, 2007, 12:17:11 PM »
As the topic states, I am still in the hunt for a mirror to put on the recently completed CB/CL450  project. I am all about the CRG bar end mirror I have on my CB750, but I don't feel like dumping another $50 into this bike

I would guess something makes a cheaper copy similar to the CRG, but I cant find one for my life.
Also - if it comes down to it does one place have a better price on the real CRG mirrors than another site ?

Anyone ?

That's a pretty unique look to them there mirrors. Can't say that I've seen many like that out there. Apart from the possibility of snagging a pair off eBay I suspect you might have to make do with a pair of run-of-the-mill generics.....

I just got a pair of cheapo's from Parts Canada for $17 each.....but they don't look like CRG's.

Anyone else???

Motrax makes a knock off of the CRG's,and they're sold as a pair for around $50. But that doesn't really solve your problem, as I've only seen them sold in pairs...

I got some catalog recently where they had CRG mirrors for $34. I'll have to find it but I think the catalog is motosport or something like that. MY napoleon bare ends cost me $15 for the pair and were badass.

Make you own knockoffs from an inspection mirror.....they are cheap and plentiful

Plus they aren't convex, and give a better image.

Spend the $$. The CRG mirror is worth every penny 8) Best mirror I've ever had on a bike, Ever!! No vibration, Looks cool! I'm sure a cheaper one would have more vibration to where you couldn't tell if there was a car behind you or not. I bought mine off ebay, I think it was less than $50.
The thing about common sense is that, it's not that common.

I've been running the Motrax mirrors for clost to 6 months now, and while I'm sure that the CRG's might be better, I've had no problems with vibration or adjustment. The image is as clear as anything I've used, including the stock mirrors on my Speed Triple...
