The bugs are out in force
« on: April 30, 2007, 06:12:17 AM »
Here in Georgia the bugs are out in force. I was out riding for a few hours yesterday and was hit numerous times by HUGE bugs. I wear an open face with a pair of goggles and was hit squarely on the nose and on my forehead. The top of me helmet looks like a bug graveyard...lol.

While out riding yesterday, my friend and I stopped at a gas station and I as approached by an older rider. He looked at my 75 CB750 and said, "Man that things brings back some memories." He said it was cool to see a young guy like me riding such a classic. Then he offered to buy it.

Good times!

I can still recall taking a bumblebee in the forehead at 55+mph...like getting punched...   :o

Hereabouts we get sandflies in the Summer...you can see the clouds a mile away, near the swamps, just about dusk...then they start hitting...you literally can't see out your goggles/faceshield...and the stink!! Yuch!!   >:( Especially on a hot engine!!   :P
