Done!!!
« on: April 29, 2007, 09:03:18 AM »
After finally finishing the gauges, and painting the seat trim on my never ending F2 project, I pronounced it done, and posted pics at http://www.sohc4.us/gallery/v/members/personal/jtb/

Since being DONE, I have:

Ordered transistorized ignition from Hondaman

Ordered a new seat

Ordered Boge shocks

Ordered Progressive fork springs

1977 CB750F
1985 V65 Sabre
1986 VFR 750 (gone but missed greatly)

I may have missed a previous thread.... where did you go/what did you pay for the new seat? - I have a 76 that needs a seat and am unhappy with a new aftermarket cover that I paid too much for...

What a great job on another fantastic F !! That's actually what the F stands for -  FANTASTIC. Not FAST as most had suspected.

"I may have missed a previous thread.... where did you go/what did you pay for the new seat? - I have a 76 that needs a seat and am unhappy with a new aftermarket cover that I paid too much for..."

Almost non existent - I recently picked up a NOS 77/78 off EBay for $250. I'd trade it and the NOS black trim pieces for a NOS 75/76 seat and Flake Sunrise Orange trim pieces if anyone finds one.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I've got one of those covers, too.  Here is a nos 75/76 seat on ebay [/http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-1976-Honda-CB750F-SS-CB750-Supersport-seat-YELLOW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35589QQihZ020QQitemZ300106854468QQrdZ1url]

I bought one of these [http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-CB750F-CB750-F-Super-Sport-77-78-New-Seat_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35581QQihZ010QQitemZ200102835676QQrdZ1/url]

Should get it this week, I'll post my opinion when it gets here.

Thanks for all the comments.
