flot bowl

 My 7 1 750 started leaking on first carb wnen stopped. shut off fuel dropped bowl & pulled Off float. Flot was full of gas . Orded one from honda, forty bucks.  it is not leaking at soder but pin hole in float. Any one ever fix one that stayed good? If so what did you use? Sure glad it started at home. Was the FLOAT  cork, brass, or plastic foam filled?  Honda has used all three in its history.

Stock 71 is brass. There have been posts about repair. Most suggest solder.
