Bill Bowman's Fork Tool?
« on: May 25, 2005, 03:42:36 PM »
Anyone archive this page anywhere?  I don't have an address for Bill Bowman who posted this message to the Greenspun forums back in '03 and the web page is no longer valid.  I'd like to see if he'd share the info he put up on the tool he made so we can get it on the SOHC/4 site.

"Just put up a page with a fork tool I made. My first bike (74 cb550) needed fork seals and after getting off work at 12 midnight I decided to do them. Got royally pissed off when the bottom allen bolts would not come loose, so I came up with this. Farmyard "in-gen-oo-ity" I suppose. Been using the same one for years - hope this can help someone out. Good luck. Bill.. www.bmsl.ca/~billjr/ForkTool.html"

Well, I'll be a knuckle-head!  Thanks.  I must have deleted one too many characters when I went looking for the page earlier since the ~billjr page didn't work for me and the top-level of the site had no email contact info.

A bit more work than a slotted broomstick.
